Book Drop!

5 books stacked on a white blanket: The Tell, Radical Forgiveness, It Ends With Us, It Starts With Us, and Smart Money Smart Kids

I took insta, FB, and LinkedIn off my phone and read these all in about a week and a half!

While still having a life! :) Yeah, my instagram addiction was getting real. 😬

Anyway, except for The Tell and Radical Forgiveness, I found these all from little lending library boxes around my neighborhood which made reading them extra fun.

My take on each one is below along with a 1-10 heart score…color coded by chakra…I know 🙄🥰.

The Tell by Amy Griffin

Ohhhhh golly, this book! 8/10! Ok, so it was recommended to me by my therapist along with some trigger warnings that there are some pretty detailed passages of sexual abuse memories. So, there’s totally that. The book is about the author’s true account of her life before taking an MDMA journey (which brought her memories back) and after. For survivors and those who want to understand and support them, I highly recommend.

Yes, that’s 10/10 green hearts and a throbbing heart chakra on this one! This is, like, required reading! Omg! This book teaches how to actually forgive…like in the most powerful and practical way! It strips victimhood right out of any situation and brings forth the realization that all forgiveness really is self-forgiveness. There are forgiveness worksheets too and by the time you finish one it will help you release emotional pain without needing to change the past. READ THIS BOOK!

It Starts With Us 💙💙💙💙💙💙
by Colleen Hoover

Cruised through these suckers! 6/10 overall but 10/10 for being entertaining speed reads! Kinda predictable but the main character and one of her beau’s are quite likable. It Ends With Us is book one and it’s the heavier of the two. It Starts With Us is the author’s self-proclaimed gift to the reader. It’s lighter with some sweet love in it.

Smart Money Smart Kids by Ramsey & Cruze

This is an honest to goodness 10/10 due to the straight talk content (and the importance of it) about how to set your kids up to become not just financially responsible adults, but excellent stewards of money. The message is you can start with your toddler or your teen…just start. Love their approach!
